Even today, we look back in admiration at the social commitment of the native Englishwoman Josephine Elizabeth Butler, the charitable founder of this house. Josephine, who campaigned in the second half of the 19th century as a women's rights activist for respect, understanding, and dignity in interpersonal relations, and especially for the social improvement of women, remains a great role model for us. One more reason to name our breakfast room as a symbol for a good start to the day after this dynamic lady.
