For many of you, it is the most important meal of the day - for us, as a hotel offering accommodation with breakfast in the heart of Basel, it is an important matter:
In the morning from 6.30 to 10.30 a.m. we are waiting for you with a varied offer of Swiss and international breakfast specialties. Often the normal everyday life takes us so much that we forget to have a healthy breakfast. Enjoy our well-balanced breakfast selection, which we prepare for you freshly and with love every day from regional and seasonal products! For our guests who have booked our breakfast offer directly with their reservation, a rich buffet is available every morning. You will enjoy the first delicacies of the day in our cozy breakfast lounge "Josephine", which we recently christened after our charismatic founder of the house: Josephine Buttler founded the "Young Girls' Association" over a hundred years ago. A good day begins with a healthy breakfast, so they say. But the times and the breakfast habits of our guests are quite different - and since we in Basel, in the border triangle, are accommodation for people with quite different breakfast habits, we have optimally adapted to your needs with our Bed and Breakfast offers!

Our complete breakfast buffet based on the daily offer with freshly prepared egg dishes and your favorite drink CHF 29,--. - For quick starters and breakfast muffle we also offer a delicious "small breakfast":
We like to start the morning in the hotel comfortably: for example with a typical Swiss breakfast before your day in Basel begins. We are happy to bring you, individually ordered, different small starter variations to your breakfast table: Enjoy an aromatic coffee and a light Gipfli from the Basel bakeries or decide for the international start into the day - with rolls, butter and jam and coffee? You decide for yourself how much you would like to have breakfast with us. - Upon request, we also serve a delicious selection of egg dishes: Swiss organic eggs, bread, toast or rolls - or fresh and vitamin-rich in each case: homemade Bircher muesli, fruit salad or yogurt with fruit (all variations at CHF 12,-- each).
- Of course, your favorite drink should not be missing: We prepare fresh coffee, cappuccino, latte macchiato, espresso, hot milk/chocolate/ovo or our numerous tea specialties from the London Tea House and - for those who are in a hurry in the morning - we also have coffee and Gipfli ready for you "to go". Due to the current situation, we serve you our breakfast buffet in the restaurant from our buffet trolley. In the hotel garden please choose à la carte. Do you have a special request or food intolerance? Let us know!
